Shorter Receipts
This is the receipt for a pack of gum!
“Most receipts are really long!” I think in line as I see the lady in front of me getting a five foot long receipt. Help the world shorten receipts. Shorter receipts will make everyone happy. Fifteen percent of California’s trash is receipts. Shorter receipts mean less paper in dumps. And that’s awesome. If we use the back it will save a lot of paper.
Long receipts can do a lot of bad things. Receipts that are really long wastepaper wasting paper. Long receipts also waste ink. Did you know that about one cartridge a day. I went to CVS and got five things the receipts was like three feet long.
Not everything is useful on a receipts. Coupons are a waste if it is already in a book, (if you don’t know coupons are things that save you money). I saw the same phone number 3 times on a receipt. Lots of people think we need all that stuff but they really don’t.
People don’t like long receipts. I want to help people to be happy. When I go to Sprouts or another store and I see all of the junk on the back it makes me angry. (And that’s what I want to get across). Come with me and ask for no receipts. People Really long receipts waste a lot of paper.

I agree on that, receipts are getting WAY too long. Some people don’t realize that receipts are made out of paper and paper is made out of trees, and that we need trees to produce oxygen for us to breath. And when all the trees are gone we will die, unless scientists come up with a way to breath without tree.

Wow Nya! I really loved your post, I think your post can get in the Flipboard magazine! I really liked the picture and how you describe the problem like in the hook when you said, “Most receipts are really long I think in line as I see the lady in front of me getting a five foot long receipt” also I liked when you said, once I saw the same phone number 3 times on a receipt. Lots of people think we need all that stuff but we really don’t. I think that was one of the best posts I have ever read and I have read some really good posts!

I couldn’t agree more. Have you been to CVS there receipt is like a mile long and a huge waste of paper. Most people don’t even look at half the stuff that is printed so why print it.

That was something. I never thought that resets could get that long. That looks like we lost about 10% of paper in the world. The picture is so weird and it is only for ONE PACK OF GUM! I really lied your post.

I can’t believe that receipts are so long! I think that it is smart that some companies use the back of the receipts for the coupons, but I agree we don’t need the coupons at all if they are already in the book.
