More than Teammates!

Jackie Robinson, Brooklyn Dodgers, 1954What is bravery? Bravery is when you do something courageous that most people wouldn’t want to do and it might embarrass you or make people mad at you.

Jackie Robinson was the first African American to play for the Dodgers. He knew people wouldn’t like it but he did it because the Dodgers needed him. I think Jackie Robinson was the bravest because even though his team was mean to him and he knew people wouldn’t like it, he still did it. He also kept his anger in and was a good player.

If you want to know more about Jackie Robinson you should read the book Teammates by Peter Golenbock.
