Tips for Commenting
What makes a great blog comment? Commenting is an important part of blogging but there are certain guidelines or rules you should follow.
In the spring of 2012 during Week 3: Visit these of our Edublogs Student Blogging challenge our class researched what makes a great blog comment. We looked at quite a few blogs and found great resources, including Mrs. Yollis’ class video, and a poster on how to make comments of Glogster. Also, here’s a post by Grammar Girl about How to Write a Great Blog Comment. Also check out this post from Stanley Year 4’s class blog.
After all our research we felt inspired and so we wrote our own script for a video called Ten Tips for Great Blog Comments.

I bet all of you really learned how to comment by creating a video to teach other people. My two favorite tips were “Be Positive” and “Connect with the Post”. When I receive a comment, I want to feel good and know that the reader actually took the time going over what I wrote. Did all of you learn all of the tips or just the one you were featured in?
